Recipe comments
When you leave a comment, we store the name and comment you provide, the recipe it belongs to, its submission date and moderation status. Approved comments and names are visible to other visitors. Comments are retained until removed by the site administrator. Please avoid including sensitive personal information.
Spam prevention
A simple maths challenge helps protect the comment form. Challenge records expire after 10 minutes. Short-lived request counters help limit repeated submissions; when proxy-aware rate limiting is enabled, these use a keyed hash of the network address rather than storing the address in the application database.
Admin access
Administrators sign in through Cloudflare Turnstile. A necessary, secure-in-production, HTTP-only session cookie keeps an administrator signed in for up to 12 hours. Signing out removes the session. Visitors do not need an account to read recipes or comment.
Hosting and external services
Content and comments are stored in MongoDB. Photographs are stored and served using Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare processes security-check information when the administrator signs in. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Hosting and service providers may process connection information needed to deliver and protect their services.

Links to social networks take you to services with their own privacy practices. This website does not load the former WordPress social-feed plugins or Gravatar avatars.

Contact us to ask about, correct or request removal of a comment you submitted. Include the recipe name and enough information to identify the comment without sharing unnecessary personal details.
